International Christian School of Cascais

A place for Growth Change

Welcome to International School of Cascais. We strive to provide high quality education, bridging your child's success with the infrastructure of knowledge and creativity.

About Us

The International Christian School of Cascais (ICSC) was founded in 1980 and is located in the village of Cascais.

With over 30 years of experience in providing an unparalleled North American academic education based on Christian principles and morals, our primary objective is to educate tomorrow’s leaders, enabling them to contribute positively to the world’s society by applying knowledge grounded in fundamentals in various fields such as sciences, mathematics, social sciences, languages, and others.

ICSC serves the children of missionaries as well as the international community.

What makes us different?

The ICSC educational philosophy is based upon the conviction that the basic life principles in the Scriptures are foundational to all areas of learning. Our goal is to help students integrate the information and knowledge they receive into a Christian world view.

ICSC provides a comprehensive, American-style curriculum for students grades PreK-12. Our high school program is a complete academic, internationally recognized, diploma-granting program. Academic and spiritual readiness is achieved through faith-based, student-centered courses taught by highly qualified, mission-minded, Christian educators in a supportive, engaging and encouraging environment.

How are we accredited?

Accreditation is a voluntary process which verifies that ICSC meets reliable education standards.

However, it does not guarantee the acceptance of credits since each institution / state / country creates its own policies of credit transfer. Some institutions may require additional validation of academic achievement. ICSC is fully accredited by the National Association of Private Schools (K-12) and is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). The ICSC High School program is proud to be an affiliated school partner with an internationally recognised school.  This school is fully accredited by Cognia through the regional office of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), NCAA (CEEB code 252825) and ACSI.

Loving Relationships
We desire a loving relationship with Jesus Christ (John 15:1-17), with our colleagues, with our students and their families, and with the surrounding community.
Evangelizing
In partnership with ICCC (International Christian Church of Cascais), we intend to impact the world for God. We are committed to bringing the Good News to our community.
Developing Character
In partnership with parents, the staff of ICSC endeavors to assist in the development of character qualities such as honesty, integrity, respect, responsibility, creativity, innovation, perseverance, self-control, compassion, and trustworthiness in all of our students. The staff strive to model these qualities by their actions and their words.
Serving All
We are servants both individually and as a school. We take our example from our Lord, who said of Himself, “…the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve…” (Matthew 20:28). This attitude characterizes our work. We consider our attitude to be as important as our actions.
Excellence
We create an environment in which students are motivated and encouraged to excel and achieve their full potential (Philippians 4:3-9).

Here, you learn how to live.

ICSC does not have a fixed enrollment period. Students are accepted year-round.
