To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing today to express my sincere gratitude for the outstanding education International Christian School of Cascais (ICSC) provided for both Elaina and Ethan Prewitt. After Ethan was diagnosed with a very severe form of dyslexia, ISCS was the only English-speaking school in the greater Lisbon area that would accept him as a student. When Ethan entered the 3rd grade in 2015, (after attending Portuguese national schools for 5 years), he could neither read nor write. The professional staff and educators at ICSC worked with him both academically and emotionally. After returning to the United States in 2017, Ethan entered the American public school system where he is continuing to make significant progress. He is reading and writing and has all A’s and B’s. The American educational professionals have all noted the fine work ISCS did to help prepare Ethan for the educational intervention he is now receiving.
Our daughter Elaina Prewitt attended ISCS for the 2015-2016 school year. She had attended Portuguese national schools from 4th through 9th grade. The exceptional instruction she received for her 10th grade year at ISCS prepared her to enter an American high school in 11th grade. She has a 4.0 an is on track to receive scholarships to several universities.
The educators at ISCS have a passion for teaching, a commitment to excellence and a desire to meet the individual needs of each student. We highly recommend ISCS to our many international friends and colleagues who still live in the Lisbon area. Words can never fully express our gratitude to each educator at ISCS who played such important roles in the education of our children.
